QUALIFICATION:
B.E (EEE); PhD in “Analysis of welding distortion using strain gauge-based instrumentation system” from National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli.
EXPERIENCE:
Spreading 39 years in BHEL in Materials Management department; Marketing, Consultancy, Training activities, Stress Analysis, Distortion Control and Post Weld Heat treatment of welds in Welding Research Institute. Carried out numerous consultancy projects for government and Public Sectors.
AWARDS:
- “Best Paper Award” in “National Convention of Quality Circles” at Delhi in the year 1987.
- “BHEL Independence Day Award” for “best suggestion evaluator” for six years continuously from 2001 to 2006.
- “BHEL Republic Day Silver Medal” in recognition of contribution in the field of indigenization in the year 1996.
- “BHEL Republic Day Silver Medal” in recognition of evolving a New & cost-effective technique to minimize residual stresses in weldment in the year 2001.
- “Eutectic Award” for the best Technical Paper, presented in the International Conference, “IWC 2001”, jointly organized by Indian Institute of Welding and CII in the year 2001.
- “Flash Forge Award” for the Best Applied Research Technical Paper presented in the International Conference, ‘SOJOM 2012”, in the year 2012.

- Attended the 65th Annual Assembly of International Institute of Welding & presented a paper at Denver, USA, in 2012.
- Attended the 7th Asia pacific International Institute of Welding Congress & presented a paper at Singapore, in 2013.
- Visited Canada in 2018 in connection with the Government of India Mission Project on Advanced Ultra Supercritical Boiler Concept.

- He is a certified “Welding Inspector” qualified by WRI
- Authored and presented 65 papers in National and International Conferences, out of which 4 are International Journal Publications.
- Delivered 10 Technical Key Note Lectures.
